ASA Urges Support for EXPLORE Act Legislation

A pair of bills have been introduced in the U.S. House and Senate that will support access to our federal lands and waters for decades to come.

Called the America’s Outdoor Recreation Act in the Senate and the EXPLORE Act in the House, both bills are packages of provisions that will expand and enhance outdoor recreation opportunities on federal lands, including those managed by the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the U.S. Forest Service. These provisions range from streamlining the permitting processes for guides operating on federal lands to expanding broadband internet connectivity at recreation sites to supporting public-private partnerships to expand parking facilities.

The American Sportfishing Association is urgin that this is one of the most significant opportunities for our federal lands and waters in a long time and it’s important that Congress act now.

Please take a moment to contact your members of Congress and urge them to support outdoor recreation today.
