Shimano North America Fishing, a name synonymous with excellence in the fishing industry, has announced an expansion of its saltwater rod offerings with the all-new GLF B series and redesigned Saguaro B series.
“The Shimano lineup of saltwater rods has never been deeper,” said Blaine Anderson, saltwater product marketing manager. “These series updates and additions provide options for any nearshore saltwater angler regardless of species or tactic.”
GLF B Series: The all-new GLF B series represents an extremely versatile lineup of Shimano inshore rods, designed with specialized actions catered towards anglers tossing artificial lures or live bait up and down the Gulf Coast. With six spinning and four casting options, the GLF B series features DIAFLASH technology to limit rod twist during powerful casts and tough battles while enhancing hook-setting power. For all-day comfort and fishability, engineers have added a Shimano Custom Reel Seat, an EVA + Rubber Cork Grip, along with a shorter butt section ideal for wading anglers.
Saguaro B Series: The redesigned Saguaro B series of rods offers saltwater anglers an expansive lineup capable of targeting a gamut of game fish with various techniques. The lineup includes actions for boat, surf, and jetty applications. The Saguaro B series features tough, impact-resistant glass blanks and SeaGuide stainless steel guides to provide anglers with consistent long-term performance and enhanced smoothness. Shimano engineers reinforced the handle design for increased reliability and comfort when applying stopping pressure to tough-fighting game fish. For anglers targeting nearshore species from boats, the four boat spinning options feature power tip construction for heavy load situations.
