Job Description

This position is responsible for customer product development in Temple Fork Outfitters’ U.S.-based fishing rod manufacturing subsidiary, Composite Forge. This person acts as the interface between the customer, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure the customers’ product ideals are realized by the company’s OEM manufacturing capability on time and on budget. This entrepreneurial, multi-functional position combines elements of sales, project management, market development, and customer engagement. In this position, you will partner with passionate fishing rod brands to bring their ideas to life by leading a collaborative fishing rod product development process with our customers and deepening our business relationships.

Essential Functions

  1. Collaboratively lead customer product development process.
  2. Provide customer-specific support regarding product development, pricing, and order status.
  3. Identify and build new client relationships with research and fishing industry outreach.
  4. Facilitate and attend industry events representing Composite Forge.
  5. Establish positive relationships with all sizes of customers.
  6. Work with product engineering in the design, cataloging, and pricing of products.
  7. Assist with placement of orders and order tracking.
  8. Answer incoming phone calls, social media posts/inquiries, mail, texts, and emails regarding manufacturing capability and products.

Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years of sales experience, preferably consultive sales
  • 4-year college or university degree, preferably in sales, marketing, business, or engineering
  • Demonstrated leadership in previous organizations, preferably project management
  • Hardworking, high energy, and able to solve problems while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, able to build rapport easily, and solve problems
  • High attention to detail, ideally with a product orientation
  • A love of the outdoors, preferably fishing

Compensation & Location

Full-time and in-person
Pay: $75,000-$125,000 per year
