USAngling Names Fox Moser to Board of Directors

USAngling has selected Amanda Fox Moser to the USAngling Confederation board of directors. Fox Moser joins the existing USAngling board, comprised of: Joel McDearmon (chairman), Tony Forte (president), John Ford (vice president), Michael Brand (treasurer), Mike McNett (secretary), Tucker Horner (member at large), PJ Perea (member at large), and Brett Ericksen (member at large).

Founded in 2014, USAngling is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides leadership for the USA National Fishing Teams in competition, embraces and creates conservation initiatives, and engages the entire angling community (men, women, youth, disabled, and “masters” (over 50)).

As an USAngling board member, Fox Moser will join a team of dedicated volunteers to further its mission. USAnglingโ€™s mission centers around three principles:

  • Competition: Develop teams to compete in international and world championship sportfishing events. Host international and world championship, national championship, and national team qualification sportfishing events.
  • Conservation: Promote environmental stewardship, catch-and-release angling, responsible harvest initiatives, and natural resource management.
  • Community: Engage Americaโ€™s men, women, youth, disabled, and “masters” (over 50) anglers. Enrich local communities economically and socially by conducting fishing events (competitions, clinics, youth days). Also, partner with like-minded fishing advocacy groups.

Fox Moser started fishing at the age of three and has since fished saltwater tournaments everywhere from the U.S to Central and South America. She is a graduate of the University of Florida. For several years, Fox Moser and her husband, Mikey, operated a highly successful largemouth and peacock bass guide service based out of the Fort Lauderdale area and, in 2015, they founded Major Bass Media, which has become one of the leading media companies in all of fishing. Fox Moser travels to 30-plus tournaments per year doing on-location filming, media work, and photography for some of the most prominent professional anglers and companies within their field. Fox Moser is dedicated to expanding youth and womenโ€™s fishing programs throughout the country as well as mentoring other women within her field. When she is not on tour, she resides in Hawthorne, Florida, with her husband, 5-year-old son, Tripp, and three dogs.

“USAngling is thrilled to have Amanda on our board of directors,” said Tony Forte, USAngling president. “Amanda and Mikey are a dynamic duo in the social media arena for sportfishing. She has been a passionate volunteer for our USA Bass Team over the years and now we get her expertise and influence on all of our USAngling teams. This is a huge win for our organization and we welcome Amanda to our board.”

USAngling currently supports the following national fishing teams:

  • Fly Fishing: Adult, women, youth, and “masters” (over 50)
  • Freshwater: Bass, ice, kayak, carp, predator fishing, bank/match, street
  • Saltwater: Big game, kayak, surf casting (inshore and surf fishing under development)
